After walking in a chilly mist through Port Meadow, we entered the small parish of Binsey, England. We discovered the 12th century Norman church whilst the rain drizzled down its face and onto the surfaces of the ancient grave stones. These weathered rocks were canopied by the branches of an enormous tree where we took shelter. Wandering then into the opened church, we found the mortared structure to be strangely silent. The quiet seemed complemented by the musty aroma and humid light which softly fell on the stone floor
